Statement from Thomas White Oxford Ltd

A spokesperson on behalf of Thomas White Oxford Ltd says:

Further to reports in local media we can confirm we are looking to publish a new draft of the masterplan for Oxford’s Northern Gateway in 2017.  The Local Planning Authority will examine the capacity of the site as part of the process of reviewing the masterplan which is currently being revised.

All work so far undertaken on the masterplan with regard to traffic and infrastructure has been on the basis of delivering 500 residential units.

The LEP (Local Enterprise Partnership) and the City Council have confirmed that the figure of 800 new homes given in the Strategic Economic Plan, and subsequently reported in the media, was an error and has been withdrawn.
